Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what personal information Sigma Labs collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle your information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
01Who we are
Sigma Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 34 683 482 822, ACN 683 482 822) is an Australian IT services provider. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Sigma Labs. If you have a question about your privacy, email us at hello@sigmalabs.com.au.
02What this policy covers
It covers this website (sigmalabs.com.au) and any enquiry you send us through it. It does not cover other websites we link to, which run their own policies.
03What we collect
You can read most of this site without telling us anything about yourself. We collect personal information in two ways.
- When you contact us. Our enquiry form asks for your name, business name, work email and, if you choose, your phone number, the service you're interested in, and whatever you write in the message.
- Automatically, as you browse. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the time you view them. We use these to keep the site running, secure and fast.
04How we use it
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, scope and deliver our services;
- keep the website secure and diagnose problems;
- meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to send marketing you didn't ask for.
05Cookies and your theme setting
This site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and it does not run analytics that profile you. The only thing we store in your browser is a small setting that remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. It stays on your device, and you can clear it any time through your browser.
06When we share information
We share personal information only where we need to:
- with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host and email provider, and only so they can do that job;
- where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
07Sending data overseas
Some of the providers we rely on, including our website host, store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
08How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit and access controls. No website or email is ever completely secure, so please think about what you include in a message to us.
09How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.
10Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it's wrong or out of date. Email hello@sigmalabs.com.au and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first.
11If you want to complain
If you think we've mishandled your information, email us first and we'll try to sort it out. If you're not happy with how we deal with it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
12Children
Our services are for businesses, and this site isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top shows when we last changed it. If we make a significant change, we'll make that clear on this page.
